Clarification

I got all excited when I saw that there was a comment left for my last entry. Turned out to be fucking spam though. Ah well...

So just to clarify, there will be no sad-bastardy angsty ex-boyfriend cursing behaviour this time 'round. I'm in a very good place right now. I'm happy. I think i'm gonna be hurting a bit in a couple of weeks, but right now I am smiling. =)

Weekend = fun. Me = occasional overreactor

I take back what I said in the last entry. I'm just a big ol' moody ass sometimes. This weekend was fun. The weather was very lovely, aside from being a tad frigid on Saturday night. There was a threat of a storm on Sunday night, but we didn't wind up getting anything more than a really cool light show in the sky. What else? Oh yeh! And I had a friggen amazing corn on Sunday. We bought it from a cart on the side of the road coming back from Grand Bend. That was a damn good corn mang! AND I found out that I won the argyle Vans (eBay) when I got home. That was pretty good too. I'm looking forward to their arrival.

woo

Just as a head's up... I wanted to warn anyone who is going "camping" this weekend that there is a distinct possibility that I will wind up hating you 42% more than I already do by the time Monday rolls around. And since I don't even like most of yous as it is, I guess some of yous will be shit out of luck!

In much more important news, I might be getting some baby blue ARGYLE Vans. That'll be sweet and ever so cute man!

Monday monday

Today I woke up, brought down the laundry, got the mail, ate some apple crisp, retrieved the laundry, dragged my lazy sloth-ass to work, sat through a staff meeting, worked, got some spice thai take-out, watched TV, ate some more apple crisp and showered.

I was supposed to get up to do laundry when Brett left for work, but I appeared to have slept right through his whole getting up process. I didn't have a chance to fold and put away anything before I left for work. The only reason I even bothered to rush and do it this morning was because I was out of socks and scrubs. Now I'm procrastinating and ignoring the big mound of clothes (4 loads) sitting on the bed. I need to fold all my shit before I go to sleep.

I'm also going to make Annie's birthday brownie before bed. It's going to be a mint chocolate brownie. I also bought some pink icing to decorate the brownies with. I went to wal-mart on Sunday afternoon to pick up some detergent, shampoo and so on. While I was there I picked up one of those big plastic "Happy Birthday" door banners. I put it on Annie's bedroom door. I am a supreme cheapass right now, but it's the thought that counts?

kitten and cat

Someone brough in a kitten to my work today. They found her in a tire. We've taken her in as a clinic cat. She is the cutest thing ever. SO very tiny! She fits in my shirt pocket. That's how tiny she is! Her tail is smaller than my baby finger.

I vowed not to get attached, but I can't help it! She kept pooping herself because no one had taught her to use litter yet. (She was found alone, so presumeably her Mom left her behind when they moved or Mom was eaten or hit by a car. ) Anyway, I spent some time with her working on the litter training... and at the end of the night, she woke up, looked around and climbed into the litter box and had a big ol' dump. I was so proud! She pooped in the box alllll by herself.

It's Sarah's turn to name the clinic cat. I hope she picks something good. I made it through the last litter of kittens without taking anything home. Let's see how this one goes. Maybe this little girl could be Dakota Fanning to Baxter's Sean Penn!

In other news, we had a client surrender her cat to us tonight. We've been expecting this one for a week or so. She's a lovely adult cat who needs a home, but she's gonna live at BAH in the mean time. We're probably going to put her on a diet while she's with us, cuz she's overweight right now. Mom is leaving the country and for whatever unknown reason, isn't able to take her.

So if you want a cat or a kitten, let me know! I'll have pictures posted later. There's a great one of the little baby kitten in my pocket.

eBay

I sold my free Dell leather laptop carry case on eBay for $39 CAN. That's pretty sweet. I also sold two of my textbooks that the school wouldn't buy back. I got about $48 for them.

I've decided that if I ever become seriously strapped for cash, I shall sell one of my Louis Vuitton purses. After my computer, it's pretty pathetic that my next most valuable assets are my LV purses. If I had to though, I would cash one in. I would never part with my little pouchy or my papillon (even though I could get a lot for it), but I would sell the musette in a second. It's my "interview" purse. A.k.a. my old lady bag.

Wow... this entry is officially the most pointless one in the history of me. Does anyone even know or care about LV bags? Probably not. You wanna buy my musette? It's practically new.
